About Built by a nurse educator

Built by a nurse educator who spent years rebuilding the same programme evidence by hand

NurseKind AI scores each encounter against your rubric and links it to your outcomes as it happens, so the evidence is already there when programme monitoring is due.

01 Our mission

Close the evidence gap

Most programmes can show that communication is in the curriculum, but few can show a scored, timestamped record of what a student actually said. NurseKind AI is that record: any recorded conversation, in the skills lab, in simulation, or in practice, scored against your rubric and linked to your programme outcomes.

Lecturers set the standard. The platform documents it, without a lecturer in the room for every encounter.

NurseKind AI serves undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes and NHS and hospital nursing education teams.

Built by a nurse educator who spent years rebuilding the same evidence by hand. So she built the tool.

I've spent over a decade in the emergency department at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, working with patients in psychiatric crisis, from adolescents to adults. I've also worked in inpatient eating disorder units, community mental health clinics, and residential programmes for deaf and developmentally disabled students. These experiences taught me something crucial: the difference between adequate care and exceptional care comes down to one thing, how well we connect with our patients.

Now, as an Assistant Professor in a nursing programme, I see talented students do well on clinical skills and exams, but struggle with something harder to teach and even harder to assess: therapeutic communication, empathy, and presence. Traditional simulation is great for procedures and protocols, but communication is rarely assessed with the same rigour.

That's why I created NurseKind AI. Every nursing student deserves real feedback on how they communicate, how they show empathy, and how they build trust with patients, before they walk into their first real clinical situation. Artificial intelligence can help us give every student personalised, objective feedback on the skills that matter most. Not to replace human judgement, but to support it.

If you teach nursing and have ever wished you had more time to give meaningful feedback on student interactions, I'd love to talk with you. Book a demo and let's see whether it fits your programme.

03 Working with United Kingdom

A US company, plain about it

Where we are

Based in the United States

NurseKind AI is a US company, and your data is processed in the United States. Our subprocessors page shows where each vendor processes data.

Your standard

Scored against your rubric

You write or upload the rubric, in the wording of the NMC Standards of proficiency for registered nurses if you like. The built-in rubric was written for US programmes.

Built by an educator

Built for how lecturers teach

Created by a practising psychiatric nurse practitioner and nurse educator. Every feature reflects the real constraints of clinical education: lecturer time, quality assurance reporting, and the difficulty of standardising communication assessment.

Your data

Documentation on request

We provide a Data Processing Agreement and security documentation on request, for UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

04 Help us get it right

Tell us where this is wrong for United Kingdom.

If you teach nursing, run simulation, or work on accreditation or regulation in the UK, tell us what we have wrong. We want advisors and pilot partners here. Email hi@nursekindai.com or book a demo.

05 Our values

What we hold to

V.1Humanistic care first. Technology should enhance, not replace, the human connection at the heart of nursing.
V.2Plain claims. We say what the product does and what it does not, including where we are not yet built for your country.
V.3Lecturers partnership. We work alongside educators to save time, reduce workload, and improve teaching effectiveness.
V.4Student success. Our goal is to help every nursing student develop the communication and empathy skills that define excellent care.
