Pilot Program FAQ
Real-encounter recording happens inside your program's existing clinical affiliation agreements and each site's own consent process, the same one already governing any observation or recording done during a placement. NurseKind AI doesn't create a new consent requirement or collect patient authorization directly: as a HIPAA Business Associate, we process data only within the scope your institution's Business Associate Agreement authorizes. Your program, as the Covered Entity, holds responsibility for patient consent. We work with your compliance office during onboarding to fit whatever process you already have, including IRB where it applies.
NurseKind AI is HIPAA-compliant, with a Business Associate Agreement available for institutions using the platform in active clinical placements. All recordings and transcripts are encrypted in transit and at rest, and we provide documentation for institutional security review. Practice mode, used for skills rehearsal, runs on a separate system that never touches real patient data.
The $950 pilot runs one semester and includes a case-study clause: we document outcomes together (hours saved, assessments completed, before/after scores), named or anonymized, your choice. If you convert to an annual license afterward, the rate is locked in upfront at $119/student/year.
